一对年幼的兄妹跟随母亲来到了乡下，然而这个偏僻宁静的小镇，却发生了一连串奇异的怪事，一名声称研究超自然现象的神秘男子悄悄现身。。太平镇，柔弱少女刘月奴（胡钰莹饰）以扎纸人为生。月奴遭兄长嫌弃，独居山中。不料半月之内，兄妹惨遭横祸。一人闺房自尽血溅三尺，一人被女人长发吊死于戏楼。神探张一人（杜奕衡饰）应镇上老保长（刘亚津饰）之邀前来调查，到达当晚便遭遇诡事，幸遇乞丐少女狗子（薛轲饰）帮忙。但镇上接二连三发生数起离奇命案，纸人勾魂、怨灵作祟的说法也悄然传开……。An anthology series in which each episode is a self-contained story set in a different world, with all stories linked together by an asteroid called the Metal Hurlant, which is passing close to the planet that is the focus of the current episode.。
