踢踏舞搭档毕波与艾蜜莉，年轻时曾以美国舞王舞后“金姐与弗雷"为艺名巡回表演。如今年华老去，一个全国性的特别电视节目邀他俩再度聚首献艺。这两名意大利娱乐圈的小人物在录影过程中，一方面缅怀昔日的表演风光，另一方面则受到电视演出时的挫折。直至曲终人散，两人再各散东西，回到他们的平凡生活之中。。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
